Modern Koan: 2nd Movement

Is that so?

 

 

1.   Think about whatever you know about yourself        

      (your name, where you live, etc.)

2.  Doubt that knowledge by asking yourself the    

     question "Is that so?"

3.   As long as any room for doubt remains, keep asking

      "Is that so?"  If any thought other than "Is that so?"

      appears, ignore it and just wholeheartedly ask

      "Is that so?" 

4.   Do 1 〜 3 until thoughts wear themselves out

5.  Return to 1 and repeat the whole process as many    

     times as you like
